[Week of June 12 - 18]
Monday - Well today Elder Schwanke got here. After that we
went to Angel and Leónor's house to talk with them about temple prep classes.
Elder Schwanke is from Highland, Utah and he graduated from AF High School.
He's one of five kids. He actually has a twin brother too. His brother served
his mission in Poland though. Yeah, I do miss Elder Burt. He's a good kid. It's
crazy, I've been having a lot of comps that we are just together for one
transfer at a time. It's hard because like just when you feel like you are
getting something moving they get taken away.
Wednesday - So today we had district meeting in the morning.
Then we went as a district to Dominoes to eat pizza. Then we had a lesson with
Mikel. He's the young kid whose family is inactive. Well, they are doing well,
still not very much progress though. Then we had English class. After that we
did some pass-bys and the day was over.
Thursday - So we had weekly planning this morning. Then we
ate lunch at a member named Judy's house. Then we met with Raquel again. Then
we had a bunch of pass-bys scheduled and none of them panned out so, we did
some finding.
Friday - So this morning I had a meeting with all of the
leaders in the mission. We held it over Skype for those who aren't in Madrid. A
visiting 70 was there. His name was like Ruiz de Mendoza or something like
that. Well, we had a really good meeting, talked about our responsibilities and
how we can fulfill our callings better. It was a pretty good to say the least.
Then this afternoon we taught Fernando a joven here and we talked about him
preparing to go on a mission. (He's a member of course) Then we met with Juan
José. He's so awesome. We taught him the plan of Salvation and he seemed to
really understand why we do the things we do. He asked how do we baptize and
when can he be baptized, so he's on date for the 15th of July. He's such a
miracle.
Saturday - Well, this morning we played fútbol. But, because
it was like 90 degrees not counting humidity not very many people came. In fact
only one person came. Haha! Then we went and ate at Claudio and Aurora's house.
She is such a good cook. The food was sooooo good. Then we had a lesson fail
this afternoon so we did some finding. Then we had to head over to Pontevedra
to do a baptismal interview but, the guy no-showed. So my companion and I got
stuck there for a couple of hours due to the train schedule. It was a good day though.
AMAZING DAY!
Sunday - Today was amazing! We had Victor and Juan José at
church. Then after church we ate with the branch president and his family in
the Chapel. Then there was a member girl getting baptized at 5:30 so we did
studies and waited for that. Raquel came to that and Juan José too! They both
really enjoyed it. Then we had our normal pancakes activity with the JAS Raquel
came to that too. Then we had a Noche De Hogar at Ludin's house. Raquel came to
that too! Today was the most she has come to church stuff and she seemed to
have a really good time. Wow, what a day!
Monday - Well today is gonna be pretty chill. We are gonna
buy some groceries and that about it for our plans. We took a 2 hour nap this
morning. That was pretty great as well.
Love you all,
Elder Harris
