Missing the Bus - AND - New Companion!

[Week of June 5 – 11]

Monday - So today we went down to A Guarda and we had a really great time. The weather was kinda iffy and it started to rain but got some really cool pictures.

MISSING THE BUS!!

Then while we were waiting for the bus, it decided to just drive right past us even though we flagged it down. So we got stuck there for another thirty minutes while we waited for a member to drive and pick us up. Then they drove us for like 30 minutes to the next Pueblo down and then we caught a bus back to Vigo. haha It was a really good day.

Tuesday - So most of the day today was spent in various things kinda just looking for new people to teach. We met with Victor tonight and we had to push back his Fecha again. He's just not doing what he should be yet.

Wednesday - Today we had district meeting. After that we did intercambios with the Elders from Ourense. I went with Elder Kamimoto. We had a really good day and we got to teach a few lessons. We met with our friend Gabriel who told us that if this church is going to help him in his life he wants to be baptized. We had a really good day.

Thursday - Today we taught Raquel, and she's doing really great. We are gonna have to really push the standard missionary lessons because she is struggling with getting a testimony of the basic things. She's really awesome. She's got a problem with smoking but we are working on it together.

Friday - So today we did another intercambio. I went with Elder O'Boyle from Pontevedra. He's a boss! He's actually going home tomorrow and we had a bomb intercambio. He's worked so hard for his mission and he finished super strong. We taught our friend Juan José and he's super great. He's reading and praying everyday with his girlfriend. As well, he is living the law of chastity and the word of wisdom. He's a stud.

Saturday - Today we played fútbol in the morning. Then we ate lunch at some less active members restaurant. The food was really good. Then we did weekly planning. Then we had studies and then we got transfer info. My companion (Elder Burt) is going to Gijon.

I'm staying here and my new companion is Elder Schwanke. He's from Utah. He's going to finish his mission in October so I don't really know what to expect about this upcoming two transfers. It's likely I could leave Vigo, which would be really sad because I love it here. I'm still district leader and I'm really excited for this upcoming transfer.

Sunday - So today we went to church. Then we went to a funeral. A older member here from Peru passed away so basically all the members from the branch went to the Funeral. The service was good, it was pretty sad though. After that we had pancakes. Then we had a going away party at the branch mission leaders house. Then that was the day.

Monday - Today I'm chilling with Elder Jones and Elder Romney while we wait for our new companions to get here. It's a pretty laid back day.
